Go Ziggy Go!

21 Mar 2018

It's just four weeks to go until the London Marathon and Ziggy Hill, 44 from Buckinghamshire will be running for us! Ziggy's friend, Zoe Muskett, has a nephew who has Duchenne and understands how vital it is for us to fund research to slow down the progression of this catastrophic condition. Leo  was diagnosed with Duchenne when he was two years old, he's now six. His parents, John and Marie, are Family Ambassadors for Harrison's Fund and Ziggy said:

"Zoe's family came across the charity online and they were very supportive in the early days following Leo's diagnosis. The family itself have held fundraising events for the charity over the last few years and I know it' a small charity so I thought it would be great to support them again in my own way.

"I've been training weekly to get fit ahead of the big day as I've only ever run in half marathons before – nothing as big as this, but I know the thought of Leo and all the other children out there like him will give me all the motivation I need to make it round the course and across that finish line."

We appreciate all the hard work that Ziggy has put into her training, especially given the icy and snowy conditions we've seen recently!

Good luck Ziggy, we'll be there to cheer you on so look out for us and give us a wave!
