Pride Of Sport Winner!
08 Dec 2016
Last night Alex attended the Pride Of Sport 2016 Awards and was absolutely delighted to win the Charity Challenge Award! He was honoured for his Ironman Triathlon which he completed with Harrison. The Ironman was a test of strength and endurance as he pulled Harrison on a catamaran for the 3.8km swim, pulled him as he cycled 180km and finally pushed him in a special racing buggy for the 42.2km marathon.
Alex was up against some tough competition in his category and was thrilled to be announced as the winner. He said: "The atmosphere last night was amazing, it was a privilege to be acknowledged in the Charity Challenge category and both Harrison and I are extremely proud. Looking back on the Ironman again reminded me of just how tough it was but raising over £68,000 and lots of awareness for Duchenne was absolutely worth it!".
The Pride Of Sport award rounds off an incredible year for Alex and Harrison's Fund and once again we'd like to thank everyone for their support.
